When is Firecracker Fandango?

Firecracker Fandango will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Where is the event located?

The event will be held in downtown Odessa. Visit the Map page for event locations and parking information.

What are the event hours?

Festivities run from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with fireworks beginning at 10:00 PM. 

Is admission free?

Yes! Firecracker Fandango is free and open to the public.

Will food and drinks be available?

Yes! A variety of food trucks, snack vendors, dessert vendors, and beverage vendors will be available throughout the event.

Can I bring lawn chairs or blankets?

Absolutely! Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the live music and fireworks.

Are pets allowed?

If you choose to bring a pet, it must remain on a leash at all times.

Can I bring my own fireworks?

No. Personal fireworks, sparklers, explosives, and open flames are prohibited.

Will there be restrooms?

Yes. Portable restrooms will be located throughout the event grounds.

They will be located at:

  • 6th Street and Lee Avenue

  • 5th and Sam Houston Avenue

  • 3rd Street and Texas Avenue

  • 4th Street and Texas Avenue

Are coolers or outside food allowed?

Please check event guidelines before bringing outside food or beverages, as vendor areas will offer a variety of options.

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Firecracker Fandango is designed to be accessible to all guests.

What happens if it rains?

Event updates, including any weather-related changes, will be shared on the City of Odessa's official website and social media channels.

Who should I contact if I lose a child or personal item?

Please notify the nearest event staff member, volunteer, police officer, or visit the designated information booth for assistance.

Who can I contact if I have additional questions?

Do I need to bring a clear bag?

No. Clear bags are not required for Firecracker Fandango. Guests may bring bags and purses; however, all bags are subject to inspection at the discretion of event staff or law enforcement to help ensure the safety of all attendees.

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Firecracker Fandango is designed to be accessible to all guests.

Pro Tips

  • Arrive early for easier parking.

  • Bring lawn chairs if you plan to stay for the fireworks.

  • Stay hydrated—July evenings in Odessa can still be very hot.

  • Establish a meeting point with family members in case you get separated.

  • Expect heavy traffic immediately after the fireworks show ends. 

 

For those who cannot attend the event, the City of Odessa will be live streaming the fireworks.
