Lighting Up the Sky
If you thought last year's fireworks were impressive... just wait until you see what's in store this Fourth of July. Every year, we challenge ourselves to make Firecracker Fandango even bigger and better, and this year's show is our biggest yet.
Get ready for more than 11,000 fireworks shots lighting up the Odessa sky, up from around 7,000 last year. You'll also see more than double the number of large, high-quality 1.5-inch and 2-inch shells, creating bigger booms, brighter colors, and even more unforgettable moments.
And because America is celebrating 250 years, we've added something extra special. As the show begins, look for a 6-foot-tall illuminated "250" set piece featuring glowing red and blue stars to kick off the celebration in patriotic style.
The spectacular fireworks finale begins at 10:00 p.m., once again brought to you by J&M Louisiana.
You may remember Adam Spiegel, General Manager of J&M Louisiana, who gave us a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to put on a show like this.
"I like to create new things! I also get to travel and stay busy," Adam said.
If you're looking for one of the best viewing spots, many spectators gather around 3rd Street and Texas Avenue.
